Our Registered Business

Portalhemlockway Mining Review Co., Ltd. is the official registered business name under which we operate. We were established in 2019 in Daejeon, Chungcheong province, to fill a gap we saw repeatedly at container yards across South Korea: operators were buying ASIC miners based on manufacturer spec sheets without verifying how those units behaved inside converted shipping containers.

Our first assessments were informal — friends in the mining community asked us to measure power draw and exhaust temperatures on units they had already installed. By late 2019, we formalized the practice into a structured on-site review service with written reports. Since then, we have assessed hardware at more than sixty container yards across Chungcheong, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon provinces.

What We Do

We are equipment reviewers and field assessors, not hardware vendors or hosting providers. Our work centers on miners rated at 0.05 PH/s and above — the class of ASIC units commonly deployed in container fleets where power density and thermal management become critical constraints.

Every assessment produces a written report covering physical fit, sustained power draw, thermal performance, and noise at the property boundary. These reports are used by yard supervisors for operational planning, by procurement teams for vendor selection, and by site owners preparing documentation for local permit authorities.

Our Team

Jae-won Park — Lead Field Assessor. Former electrical technician at an industrial HVAC contractor in Daejeon. Jae-won handles on-site power measurements, PDU mapping, and breaker load analysis. He has personally assessed over forty container installations.

Hye-jin Choi — Thermal and Acoustics Specialist. Background in building environmental testing. Hye-jin designs our sensor placement protocols and produces the thermal/airflow sections of every report, including the annotated diagrams operators use for retrofit planning.

Dong-min Lee — Report Editor and Client Liaison. Dong-min translates raw field data into the structured written reports our clients receive. He also coordinates scheduling and handles follow-up consultations after report delivery.

How We Work

We visit your site with portable measurement equipment — clamp meters, temperature loggers, decibel meters, and dimensional surveying tools. We do not bring miners or install hardware. Our role is to observe, measure, and document.

Reports are opinionated where the data supports it. If a miner model consistently exceeds its nameplate wattage by more than 8% under sustained load, we say so. If a container’s exhaust fan is undersized for summer ambient temperatures in your province, we document the expected throttling threshold.

We maintain no commercial relationships with ASIC manufacturers or distributors. Assessment fees are our sole revenue source, which keeps our equipment ratings independent of vendor incentives.

Our Relationship to the Community

Daejeon sits at the center of South Korea’s growing container mining corridor. We participate in two annual meetups organized by yard operators in Sejong and Cheongju, where we share anonymized thermal data trends — never client-specific findings. Several regional electric cooperatives reference our noise measurement methodology when reviewing new site applications.

Values

Measurement over marketing. We trust clamp meter readings more than brochure wattage figures.

Container context matters. A miner that performs well in open-air rack storage may throttle within six hours inside a 40-foot steel box. We test in the environment you actually operate.

Plain-language reports. Our clients are yard supervisors and procurement leads, not electrical engineers. Every report includes a one-page executive summary written without jargon.
