Extended Project Account: Sejong 40-Foot Conversion

From Empty Container to Running Fleet

A Sejong-based operator contacted us in March 2025 with a newly delivered 40-foot high-cube container and plans to install 24 miners rated at 0.08 PH/s each. The container had been fitted with intake louvers on one long side and a bank of exhaust fans on the opposite end.

Challenge: During the initial burn-in, rack temperatures in the rear third of the container exceeded 48°C after three hours, triggering automatic throttling on four units.

Our approach: We mapped airflow with temperature loggers at 12 points inside the container over a six-hour test period. Data showed hot air pooling above the rear rack row because the exhaust fan bank was mounted too low to capture the stratified hot layer.

Outcome: The operator raised the exhaust fan mounting by 40 centimeters and added a partial ceiling baffle. A follow-up cooling review two weeks later confirmed rack temperatures stayed below 42°C under full load. The operator proceeded with the full 24-unit installation.
